The Pro Exotics PE-1 Infrared Temp Gun is a great basic unit at $30.  It is our most affordable Temp Gun, yet it maintains the same great accuracy and durability of our more expensive units. With a range of -27F to +428F (easily switchable to -33C to +220C) and MAX/MIN/LOCK modes, the PE-1 will meet the needs of 95% of users, professionals and hobbyists alike. The PE-1 unit comes preset with a default emissivity setting of 95E.  Whether shooting engine temperatures, food prep temperatures, or animal basking temperatures, the PE-1 is a terrific and reliable Temp Gun at an amazingly affordable price! The aluminum case for the PE-1 Temp Gun includes a handy dandy belt retractor, as well as an extra battery (for another 40 hours of continuous use!). The Pro Exotics PE-2 Infrared Temp Gun adds a few more advanced features than our PE-1, but retains a great retail price of just $55 (completely unbeatable in the infrared temp gun world!).  The PE-2 unit adds a much requested red sighting laser, and an expanded temperature range to 662F (easily switchable to 350C).  The PE-2 has an adjustable emissivity setting for precise calibration, and perhaps best of all, a tight infrared "cone" distance to spot ratio (D:S) of 6:1.  That means at a distance of 6 inches, you are reading an area just 1 inch in diameter.  At a distance of 2 feet, an area of just 4 inches, as compared to our wider D:S ratio of 1:1 on the PE-1 unit.

YOU ARE ORDERING BY THE FOOT. The quantity you select is the linear foot length that you want to order. For example a quantity of "2" is 2 ft., a quantity of "15" is 15 ft.

Your heat tape comes PRE-WIRED and ready to plug in but you need to order the PRE-WIRED CLIP SET as well, and indicate what lengths you want your heat tape cut and wired in (if more than one length).

The pre-wired clip sets are just the "wire and plug" part of the Flex Watt heat tape. The clip sets DO NOT include the actual heat tape! Be sure to order your lengths of heat tape as well, from the heat tape section, in whatever foot length you require.

Foil Tape

Foil Mounting Tape -

You will need twice as many feet of foil tape as heat tape to secure both sides to your base. Don't bother trying regular tape first, it can't handle the heat! Shipping/packing tape will dry out quickly, and duct tape will melt into a mess. Use the foil tape! 25 cents per foot.

The Zoo Med Repti Temp Rheostat works great with our Flex Watt heat tape. Rated at 150 watts max (our three inch heat tape is 6 watts per linear foot) it is a simple and inexpensive heat controller for up to 25 ft. of heat tape. This is a simple controller with no readout, a temp gun is a MUST HAVE to check the output of the rheostat.

MIN/MAX Digital Thermometer with Probe- $15 each

Temp Guns measure surface and liquid temperatures. These digital thermometers measure air temperatures. They are the best tools at keeping a handle on the air temperatures in your rooms. Having these inexpensive probes placed around your collection allows you to keep quick tabs on your current, minimum and maximum air temperature ranges. With this tool you can monitor your lowest overnight temps, so crucial when evaluating air movement and temperature fluctuation. We have hundreds of probes throughout our facility, we are confident that you could use a half dozen!

Temp range: Main unit base: 32F to 122F (easily switchable to Celsius) Probe: -58F to 158F (easily switchable to Celsius)
