The Pro Exotics PE-2 Infrared Temp Gun adds a few more advanced features than our PE-1, but retains a great retail price of just $45 (completely unbeatable in the infrared temp gun world!).  The PE-2 unit adds a much requested red sighting laser, and an expanded temperature range to 662F (easily switchable to 350C).  The PE-2 has an adjustable emissivity setting for precise calibration, and perhaps best of all, a tight infrared "cone" distance to spot ratio (D:S) of 6:1.  That means at a distance of 6 inches, you are reading an area just 1 inch in diameter.  At a distance of 2 feet, an area of just 4 inches, as compared to our wider D:S ratio of 1:1 on the PE-1 unit.

The Pro Exotics PE-3 Infrared Temp Gun is our full featured high end unit retailing for $75. It features the widest temperature range, with infrared sensing reading from -76F to +1000F and a thermocouple jack that covers -83F to +2500F (both easily switchable to Celsius equivalent). The PE-3 has a red sighting laser that you can easily turn on and off, as well as a backlight on/off for those dark or nighttime temperature readings. The PE-3 has adjustable emissivity, another function that gives Average Temperature readings, as well as a High/Low temperature alarm.  Want to know the temperature Differential between your high and low readings, the PE-3 does that too!  The PE-3 comes in a plastic blister pack, but also includes a soft case with a belt loop for personal storage and transport.
